The Last Image at Eggers (2014)
Encounter via photo shoot. Produced in 2014, The Last Image at Eggers was a site-responsive project that departed from Hôtel Eggers’ historic connection to Swedish emigration in the 19th and early 20th centuries. I solicited participation from people interested in having their portraits taken at one of Eggers’ suites, whilst they thought about their last image – the image they’d hold on to before fleeing Sweden.

My Brazilian-Portuguese That I Haven't Seen is a series of self-portraits in several allegorical rooms documenting an intense and nostalgic attempt to maintain my mother tongue while struggling to assimilate when moving to a new place.
